Alex Wise is The Wise Alecks
One man.
Every instrument.
Several opinions.
New music is coming from an award-winning songwriter, producer, wordsmith, and multi-instrumentalist who has spent quite enough time making everybody else look talented.

Greatest Hits
Volume 2
The first album from The Wise Alecks (and already the second greatest-hits collection). That is the kind of efficiency you get when the songwriter, band, producer, engineer, and an unreasonable deadline taskmaster are all the same person.
*“Greatest” is an artist-supplied designation. Independent verification would only slow things down.
About the collective
The band has one member and a very crowded group chat.

After years of writing songs that wore other people's names, Alex is finally putting his own voice where his mouth is.
The Wise Alecks is a one-person musical operation: written, arranged, performed, produced, and recorded by Alex. The songs roam across genres because staying neatly in one lane has never been a particularly convincing option.
“On the spectrum, across the spectrum, and occasionally arguing with the spectrum.”
A recovering gish galloper, practicing truth-follower, and lifelong wordsmith, Alex is turning down the volume of the argument and turning up the melodic comebacks. This time, the byline stays.
Write the truth.
Or at minimum, stop pretending certainty rhymes with accuracy.
Play everything.
Mostly because coordinating schedules with others is exhausting (and he's kind of a control freak).
Take the credit.
After years of giving it away, this feels almost suspiciously legal (unlike kickbacks).

New music coming soon.
How soon? Soon enough to announce. Not soon enough to stop tweaking the snare sound.
